On 22nd July 2016, Indian captain Virat Kohli scored his 1st double hundred against the team of West Indies. In the 42nd Test match of Kohli, this double century came.  He also became the first Indian skipper to score a double century in a foreign land. In this match, after winning the toss, the Indian team opted to bat first but lost the Cheteshwar Pujara’s and Murali Vijay’s wicket early. Kohli and Dhawan did an awesome 105 runs partnership to put India in a strong position. After Dhawan, Kohli went on to share a great 168 runs partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin and help the Indian team to cross 500 runs mark.
