No DRS Excuses From Sophie Devine, New Zealand Must Take ‘Long, Hard Look In The Mirror’

Following their T20I series opener loss against Australia in Brisbane, New Zealand captain Sophie Devine refused to hide behind the absence of the Decision Review System (DRS), saying her team would need to take “a long, hard look in the mirror” in the short turnaround before the second outing on Sunday. The lack of DRS, currently being used in the series of England-West Indies, came to the fore in the 14th over the innings of Australia when Nicola Carey clearly edged Devine but was not given out on the field.
