Morne Morkel Ends Surrey Chapter

In spite of the county chief Richard Gould recently expressing hope that the ace fast-bowler will return for the 2021 domestic season, former South Africa fast bowler Morne Morkel has decided to call time on his three-year stint with Surrey. The 36-year-old said in an open letter to the club’s fans that the Coronavirus pandemic and its subsequent travel requirements posed a challenge with regard to spending time in Australia with his family.
