Mitchell Johnson Opens About Depression

🕒 4 min read

Former Australian pace spearhead, Mitchell Johnson opened about suffering from depression once he retired from high profile cricket in 2018. Johnson, who left many a batsman in shivers when they played against him especially during the season of 2013-14 spoke quite emotionally about the issue while filming for Channel 7’s SAS Australia. He struggled with the fact that he didn’t have much to do nor did he find purpose after retiring from cricket which left him with a mental vacuum. He feels he had been suffering from this even during his playing days.
