Misbah-ul-Haq has taken the decision to withdraw from the position of chief selector of Pakistan to concentrate more on his role as head coach of the national cricket team. On Wednesday (14-10-2020), Misbah told a media stating that he has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that on 30th November, he would be stepping down as chief selector. Last year, he had taken the responsibility of the head coach and chief selector. He said, “In the coming series, I will select the squad but after that, I only want to concentrate on my work as head coach.”
