For the coming season, former wicketkeeper-batsman Luke Ronchi has been named as the batting coach for New Zealand. He succeeds Peter Fulton, who stepped down from the role in July of this year to take over the duties of head coach of Canterbury. In two weeks ‘ time, the 39-year-old, who played international cricket for both Australia and New Zealand, will start working with the men’s squad. Ronchi, who has played 4 Tests, 85 ODIs and 33 T20Is, joins head coach Gary Stead and bowling coach Shane Jurgensen, both of whom were re-signed earlier this year for their positions.
