Lanning Named Melbourne Stars Captain In WBBL

Meg Lanning has been named as the new captain of the Melbourne Stars Women’s Big Bash League. She’s going to take over Elyse Villani, who was captain last season. “I ‘m looking forward to leading the Melbourne Stars again and building on the excellent work Elyse Villani has done. It’s a pleasure to be captain and we’re really pleased with how our team looks forward to the tournament. More than anything, I’m really looking forward to going back to cricket, first with Australia and then with the Stars in the WBBL,” Lanning said.
