Lanning Keeping Fingers Crossed For Women’s World Cup 2021

Australian skipper Meg Lanning is looking forward to the Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand next February. With the latest request by the ICC to postpone the Men’s T20 World Cup, the decision on the Women’s World Cup is also expected to come early, according to New Zealand Cricket chair Greg Barclay.Lanning welcomed the move that would allow her teammates to get some much-needed clarification on the way forward. With New Zealand fighting the coronavirus pandemic to the point that only fans are permitted to reach stadiums for other sporting events, there is reason for hope with only seven teams expected to fly to the tournament.
