The Trinbago Knight Riders will be captained by Kieron Pollard in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League season. Pollard takes over the reins from Dwayne Bravo, who in 2017 and 2018 helped the side to take back-to – back CPL titles. After being hit on the hand during a net session on the eve of the tournament launch, Bravo was slated to captain last year too but missed the entire tournament. Pollard, the white-ball skipper of the West Indies, captained the Knight Riders to the playoffs, where they were knocked out by eventual Barbados Tridents champions.
