Jake Weatherald Opts Out Of Sheffield Shield Clash Due To Mental Health Issues

Jake Weatherald, South Australia’s batsman, has opted out of the Sheffield Shield clash against Victoria due to mental health concerns. The opener, who started the season with a hundred in a losing cause versus Western Australia, opened up his mental health issues with the South Australian Cricket Association after a game against Tasmania. Will Bosisto replaced Weatherald when pacemaker Daniel Worrall made a full recovery from his calf strain injury and was picked up in the squad for the game against Victoria, scheduled to begin on Friday (October 30).
