India and Kings XI Punjab fast bowler Mohammed Shami believes IPL 2020 will help Indian players tune-up ahead of the Australian tour scheduled for December 2020-January 2021. The last test assignment for India was in February 2020 in New Zealand, although the players haven’t played cricket across formats at the highest level since the pandemic brought the sport to a standstill in March. Though IPL marks a return to cricket for the Indian players, Shami reckoned they also had the upcoming Australia tour in their sights.
