Babar Azam had earlier said that he would like to be compared with Pakistani players and not Virat Kohli. In this regard, former Pakistani captain and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said that Azam developed as a star performer because of the faith shown in him by the management. “Babar struggled initially in Test cricket but we never had any doubt about his ability. So, we persisted with him and see today where he is standing in all formats,” Inzamam said. He further added Kohli has played a lot more cricket than Azam but the Pakistani talisman’s record at this stage is not bad at all.
