Gautam Gambhir refused to credit MS Dhoni alone for India’s historic World Cup triumph in 2011. 2 April marked the 10 year anniversary of India’s ODI World Cup win. Gambhir was one of the heroes of the final. He scored a match-winning 97 and his partnership with Dhoni laid the foundation for an Indian win. Indian Captain, MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on 91 and hit the winning shot. Gambhir refused to credit that winning six as iconic. He felt there were many unsung heroes who didn’t get their due. Gambhir added that he has moved on from the World Cup win.
