Glenn Maxwell smacked a hundred but Steve Smith appeared only eight deliveries in the second intra-team match with Australia on Sunday (30-08-2020) at the Ageas Bowl. For winning the 50-over competition, the Pat Cummins team chased down 250 runs target against the Aaron Finch team which is working as preparation for the white-ball series against team England. It was left for Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis to take the baton and after the opening batsman scored 87 runs- the latter made 108 runs off 114 deliveries to help the Pat Cummins team get home by two wickets. Steve Smith had refused the chance to bat in the first intra-team schedule when the match was canceled because of rain just 5.5 overs into the chase.
