Eoin Morgan: World Cup Final Win Was ‘Actually Bigger Than Cricket’

At the time of COVID-19 lockdown, Eoin Morgan started watching the 2019 World Cup final match continuously. On a Zoom call to remember the winning anniversary on Tuesday, Morgan said “It is an outstanding day only to sit back and watch the match. The complete day still gives goosebumps every time I watch it. Watching the match back, all the flows and ebbs of the match feel incredible”. Immediately after the final match, Morgan spoke with New Zealand captain, Kane Williamson two or three times regarding the match, try to understand that game more as well as its context.
