The middle order fared no better, however captain Salman Agha’s fifty, Shadab Khan’s quick 28 and a few late blows from Haris Rauf helped Pakistan limp to 128/9.
James Neesham was the star with the ball, dismantling Pakistan’s lineup with figures of 5/22 in four overs. He dismissed key batters including Shadab Khan and Salman Agha, ensuring Pakistan never built momentum. Jacob Duffy (2/18) and Ben Sears (1/25) provided excellent support.

New Zealand’s run chase was a mere formality, thanks to an explosive knock by Tim Seifert. The wicketkeeper-batter smashed 97* off 38 balls, including 10 fours and 7 sixes, single-handedly tearing apart Pakistan’s bowling attack. Finn Allen contributed 27 off 12 before being bowled by Sufiyan Muqeem, who also dismissed Mark Chapman for 3. However, Daryl Mitchell (2*) finished the chase alongside Seifert in just 10 overs.
