Lahore born Muhammed Abbas scored the fastest ODI-Half century, he scored 52 runs in just 26 balls, with a strike rate of 200 he hit 3 boundaries and 3 maximums. New Zealand ended their innings at 344/9 in 50 overs. Pakistan side’s best bowling figures were put up by Irfan Khan Niazi, he amassed 3 wickets in his 5 over stint.

Pakistan Losing streak continues
Pakistan had a better start to their innings than New Zealand, but the depth order fell apart. Their innings started off with Shafique and Usman’s 36 and 39 respectively. After their dismissals, Pakistan was left at 88/2 in 15.4 overs. Babar Azam then looked determined to lead the side, he had a strong 78 run stint in 83 balls. He had formed a strong partnership with Salman Ali Agha who scored 58 runs off 48 balls.
After Babar and Agha’s dismissals, the scoreboard was yet to see a strong score from the Pakistan squad. Nathan Smith’s brilliant 4-wicket bowling spell helped New Zealand bundle up Pakistan for 271 in 44 overs. Mark Chapman was named the player of the match.
