Kranti Goud To Replace Kashvee Gautam
The Women In Blue, currently topping the table out of three nations participating in the Women’s Tri-Nation Series 2025, faces a player’s exclusion from the team. Kashvee Gautam carrying a niggle will not be able to perform in the ongoing series with conclusion day on May 11, Sunday.
The 22-year-old right-arm fast bowler made her debut against Sri Lanka Women in the first match of the series. In her debut, Kashvee took no wickets, offering 28 runs in eight overs. Kashvee Gautam took zero wickets and scored a total of 22 runs in the three matches she played in the tournament.
Kashvee Gautam got the maiden call-up for Indian after her exceptional WPL season performing for the Gujarat Giants. The pacer took 11 wickets in nine games. However, now the fast bowler won’t be able to continue in the Tri-Series and will be replaced by the 21-year-old Kranti Goud.
Kranti Goud, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, made her debut in the WPL in 2025. The right-arm fast bowler took six wickets in eight matches for the UP Warriorz. The 21-year-old will make her first international debut, replacing Kashvee Gautam in the Women’s Tr-Nation Series.

India In Women’s Tri-Nation Series
The Indian Women started off the series with a win over the Sri Lanka Women, trashing them by nine wickets. Furthermore, Harmanpreet Kaur and the team maintained their top spot by winning against the Proteas Women by 15 runs. However, in their third encounter of the series against the Sri Lanka Women, the resilient neighbors won over the Indian women by three wickets. Moreover, the Sri Lankan women defeated the Indian women after seven years in an ODI.
The Women In Blue’s next fixture is against the South African Women on Wednesday, May 7. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will look to redeem themselves by winning the game, while the South African Women will be eager to win their first match of the tournament.
