KL Rahul to join India A for 2nd Warm-up test against England
KL Rahul’s IPL 2025 ended after Delhi Capitals failed to qualify for the playoffs. However, with his name included in the India tour of England 2025. KL Rahul is set to join the India A side in the 2nd Warmup test against England, and what is his motive by joining the India A side?
Why is KL Rahul joining the India A side?
KL Rahul has been a formidable asset for team India since he played a strong part in the BGT series 2024-25, he had scored 255 runs in 5 BGT tests, at an average of 30.66. Having played 58 tests, his only aim by joining the India A side is to gain valuable insights for the upcoming tour against England. The second test of India A is being played from June 6th at Northampton. KL Rahul is set to fly out on Monday, and join the India A squad for the remaining tests.
As he is a part of the senior team, his participation and involvement against the English Lions on the English turf will help him analyze his game and help him develop his game for the upcoming tour against England.
How are the Warmup tests going on?
The first test of India A against England Lions started off on 30th May, 2025, with England Lions winning the toss and opting to bowl first. India A had an underwhelming start to their innings, Abhimanyu Easwaran the skipper had a disappointing end to his innings with just 8 runs. Promising youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal played a short part on the pitch with just 24 runs to his name.
