ICC Postpones Champions Trophy Schedule Announcement Amid India-Pakistan Dispute
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has canceled the event related to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to scheduling issues, particularly concerning matches involving India. The ICC was set to announce a 100-day countdown event for Champions Trophy 2025 on Monday, November 11, in Lahore. Unfortunately, this event has now been called off. Let look at ICC Champions Trophy Schedule Announcement.

The ICC had planned a big event to celebrate the 100-day countdown to the championship scheduled for February 19 to March 19. However, scheduling issues, particularly matches involving India have made things complicated. So the authorized close to the developments stated that once the schedules for the ICC Champions Trophy are confirmed, they will release the dates through the respective channels.
According to reports, the ICC may have postponed the event because of the current weather conditions in Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city, which is experiencing unprecedented levels of pollution. This could be another reason for the cancellation of events related to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
India Refuses to Travel to Pakistan for WTC 2025 Due to Security Concerns
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the Indian government’s refusal to allow the Indian cricket team to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming prestigious tournament. In response, the BCCI has requested that the ICC implement a “hybrid model” to facilitate venue changes for all matches involving India, suggesting that these games be held in Dubai or Abu Dhabi instead.
Why India Refuses to Travel Pakistan?
The reason India refuses to travel to Pakistan is due to the ongoing political tensions between both nations.
If ICC adopts a “Hybrid model,” where will India’s matches be held?
If the ICC adopts a hybrid model, Dubai or Abu Dhabi could potentially host India’s matches in WTC 2025.
