WTC Final: KS Bharat or Ishan Kishan: Who will play as wicketkeeper for India

Prior to the WTC Final at the Oval, Team India wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan was struck by a rising delivery from Aniket Chowdhury. Let us look at details on Who will play as wicketkeeper for India in WTC final?

The World Test Championships Final, which begins on Wednesday at the Oval in London. Will pit India and Australia against one another.

Prior to the title match, both teams are concerned about injuries. Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out. Indian wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan got hurt while practising.

Team India cricketers hit the net for the first time at the Oval ahead of the WTC Final.

Aniket Chowdhury, the Indian net bowler, delivered a rising ball that struck Mumbai Indians’ starting quarterback Kishan in the hand. For the remainder of the net session, Kishan was spotted with a bandage covering the hand where he was struck.

It’s a toss-up between Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat for the wicketkeeper position in the final versus Australia because regular wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is out injured.

Team management acknowledges Pant’s absence, Bharat and Kishan have sufficient experience to stand in for him.

Bharat has played for India in 4 Tests while Kishan is yet to make his national team debut in the longest format.

A few days back, former Australian all-rounder and Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody had picked Bharat ahead of Kishan in his India playing XI for the WTC final against Australia.

Tom Moody Quoted:

“Ishan is an opener. I am not saying he is not capable of playing Tests. He is one for the future but he opens in limited overs cricket. Things will be different at number six. Yes he goes hard from ball one, which can be counter-productive in England, but Bharat can also bat well and play shots also. “

Also with an small injury during the net practice it makes the probability little less to occupy the spot in the starting 11. Looks difficult for the management to choose but the KS Bharat has the Upper hand in the long format, so he will be seen in the 11
