Who makes the cut? India’s best playing 11 for T20I series vs South Africa

India’s best playing 11 for T20I series vs South Africa

Two of world’s most dangerous T20 sides, India and South Africa, are ready for a faceoff in the four-match T20I series, starting November 8. So let’s take a look at India’s best playing 11 for T20I series vs South Africa.

The last time India and South Africa met a T20I game; it ended in India’s favour in a T20 World Cup final.

The T20 WC 2024 final match was a nail-biting thriller that kept everyone on edge of their seats. South Africa appeared to be the favourites until the 15th over of the run-chase before Indian bowlers battled back and snatched a victory to end India’s 17-year long T20 World Cup title drought.

However, the Indian squad for the upcoming series is majorly different from the one in World Cup, and it will be a big challenge for the Suryakumar-led India to face the full-strength South Africa at their home.

India travelled to South Africa in December of last year for a multi-format series that included three T20Is. Suryakumar led the team at that time, and the series finished 1-1.

With Indian team looking to complete to unfinished work of winning a T20I series in South Africa. The Proteas are also eager to take World Cup final revenge, which will make the series more exciting.

Just like we saw during the Bangladesh series, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson will open for India in South Africa also, followed by Suryakumar Yadav at number 3.

Tilak Verma at number 4, Rinku Singh at 5, and Hardik Pandya at six. Their positions may change as per the situation of the game.

Axar Patel will be seen playing as a specialist spin all-rounder. While Varun Chakaravarthy, who made a solid comeback in recently concluded Bangladesh series, is a sure shot pick in India’s final 11 alongside reliable Ravi Bishnoi.

While Arshdeep Singh will lead the pace department along with Avesh Khan.
