India already suffers from the misery of the pandemic of the coronavirus. People are dying every day, and when carnage stops, there is no limit. A shameful incident has happened in Kerala amid all the chaos after a person offered a pineapple filled with firecrackers in Silent Valley Forest, a pregnant wild elephant killed by human cruelty.
The elephant chewed the pineapple that exploded into the mouth. On Tuesday, June 3, a senior official reported the news. On May 27, in the Malappuram district, the elephant breathed its last on the Velliyar River. In the post-mortem, the animal found to be pregnant. Photos show that with her mouth and trunk in the water, the elephant stood in the river to provide relief from the pain.
In order to remove the pregnant elephant out of the water, the forest authorities brought the two elephants called Surendran and Neelakanthan. The elephant was eventually driven back into the forest on a truck to cremate.
“Her jaw broken, and after she had chewed the pineapple, her mouth did not feed, and it exploded.” It’s sure the pineapple loaded with crackers was offered to kill her, “said Chief Forest Conservative (Wildlife) and Surendrakumar, Chief Wildlife Ward.
