Even though South Africa lost Reeza Hendricks in the third over it was Quinton de Kock along with Aiden Markram who switched the partnership for the South African side. de Kock with his wonderful 74 of 40 balls with five sixes and seven fours gave the perfect knock. While Aiden Markram also supported with his 46 of 32 ball innings.
For America, Harmeet Singh and Netravalkar picked up two wickets each, while the rest of the American bowling unit failed to contain the Proteas side in this crucial match of the T20 World Cup.
Kagiso Rabada was the star man with the bowl for South Africa in this game as he picked up three wickets in his four overs and conceded 18 runs which thus helped bowlers to pile up the pressure on the American players. Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje, and Tabraiz Shamsi all three picked up one wicket each ending America’s innings for 176/6 in 20 overs.

Andries Gous the wicketkeeper-batsman showed his willpower until the very end and did not give up the match as he played one of the best innings for America in their T20 history. Gous played a brilliant knock even though the wickets were falling at the other end. He smashed five sixes and five fours in his 47 balls, where he scored 80* runs.
Harmeet Singh also tried to support Gous with his stroke play but was dismissed by Rabada at 38 runs from 22 balls. However, it was a huge task for Andries Gous to take the United States home with 195 on target they fell short by 19 runs in the end.
