Sydney Thunder appeared to be confident with their bowling unit, restricting Sydney Sixers to 168 for five wickets. Meanwhile, as a  result of the rain stoppage, the goal was set to 173 adopting the DLS -method. They also appeared to be consistent with their batting unit, although they lost four crucial wickets in a short session. On one hand, they are losing wickets swiftly, yet on the other hand, they are putting up a spirited fight in their pursuit.
