BCCI’s Swift Action

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah took proactive steps to organize a special Air India flight. This specially chartered flight was arranged to transport not only the cricket team and their coaches but also their families and members of the Indian media who had traveled to cover the tournament. The initiative by BCCI ensured that all stranded individuals could depart from Barbados swiftly and safely despite the challenging weather conditions.

The special Air India flight departed from Barbados amidst the chaotic weather caused by Hurricane Beryl. After a successful departure, the flight is expected to arrive in Delhi in the early hours of July 4th (Thursday).
