T20 World Cup Qualifiers A: Schedule

ICC has announced two qualifiers for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Qualifier A is going to start from Feb 2022 in Oman and Qualifier B will be conducted during July 2022 in Zimbabwe. Each Qualifier schedule will feature 8 teams respectively and the winners from these rounds will be eligible to play the next round in order to book a slot in the T20 World Cup 2022. Here are the Details of the Qualifiers:

There are two spots available for all these teams will battle for and winners will book their spot in the T20 World Cup 2022 which will be conducted in Australia. Previously it was only 14 teams who used to compete in the global qualifiers, but now it is a bunch of 16 teams.

Eight teams from each qualifier are divided into two groups ( Group A & Group B). The first cycle will be conducted in Feb and the second cycle will be conducted during July in Zimbabwe.

This will be a single round-robin group phase which will be progressed to the semi-finals and the top teams after each stage will take the 2nd phase finisher from the opposite group – with the winner of the semi-final will book their spot in the T20 World Cup 2022.
