Team India will begin their campaign for the 2021 T20 World Cup against the archrivals Pakistan. The high-octane clash takes place on 24 October at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Here you can know whom did Parthiv Patel Picks India’s Playing XI.
Even though the Virat Kohli-led team is considered one of the favorites to win the title, their starting lineup for the match versus Pakistan remains uncertain. As a result, many supporters and experts have expressed in on Team India’s lineup.
Former wicketkeeper-batter, Parthiv Patel is the newest to get on board. Whereas the lefty believes most players would pick themselves up, he predicts there may be some confusion while deciding between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur. Furthermore, Patel picks Hardik Pandya for the XI despite the fact that the all-rounder does not bowl well.
The last choice will be between Shardul Thakur and Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Parthiv
“I am sure Virat knows his playing XI and probably not the names, but I am sure he knows what combination he wants to go with. To me, the question will be, should you play Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Shardul Thakur,” Parthiv said in an Interaction.
“Probably Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul to open Virat at No.3, Suryakumar at No.4, Rishabh at No. 5, Hardik – even if he is not bowling, he is picked as someone who can finish the game – Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Shami, Bumrah and the last choice will be between Shardul Thakur and Bhuvneshwar Kumar”, he further added.
It should be noticed that Ishan Kishan, who hit 70 runs off 46 balls in the warm-up match versus England, was not included in Parthiv’s XI. Another noticeable absence from the team was experienced Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Furthermore, in their first warm-up match of the campaign, India beat England by 7 wickets. With England fielding a quality team, a victory would have provided a significant boost to India.
