As per a report by Sports Tak, CSK officials will likely to meet Mahendra Singh Dhoni on October 29 or 30. Dhoni has informed the franchise about his unavailability till October 28, and hopefully they will now meet on whether 1- or 2-day prior to the deadline of submitting the list of retained players before the mega auction.
MS Dhoni’s IPL 2024 performance and future
Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in international cricket and in IPL, having led CSK to record 5 IPL titles. He left the captaincy right ahead of the IPL 2024 and decided to hand over the charge to young Rututaj Gaikwad.
The wicketkeeper batter was outstanding with the bat in the IPL 2024 season, having scored 161 runs at a whopping strike-rate of 220.55 in only 8 innings while batting down the order.
Given his ability to hit big and valuable suggestions to new skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad during fielding is important for the franchise.
