Sunil Narine to play in T20 WC?: The Kolkata Knight Riders side has always had a star player in the form of Sunil Narine, his contribution with the ball and even with the bat makes him the right champion player. The West Indies sensation Sunil Narine was first signed by KKR in 2012 and the rest is history. Narine was signed in 2012 and KKR won their first title in 2012, where he contributed with 20 wickets that season.
Over the years Narine has been an integral part of the KKR team and has contributed either with ball or bat in many matches. The spinner however retired from T20 International in August 2019 and since then he has played only franchise cricket.

As things stand Sunil Narine is currently in the race for the orange cap, yes you read it right he is in third place with 276 runs from six games. His new version as an opener for KKR is proving to be a game-changer. He has smashed one century and one fifty so far.
His contribution with the ball is also not too bad as he picked up seven wickets as of now. Keeping his batting and bowling he is also a great fielder for KKR, where he took multiple match-winning catches.

West Indies Skipper Trying to Convince Narine to Come Out of Retirement
Recently the West Indies skipper Rovman Powell stated in an interview that he wanted Sunil Narine to come back into the national side for the upcoming T20 World Cup and more importantly this T20 WC is being held in the USA & West Indies. So it’s like playing at home and the skipper wants his best players to be available for the prestigious tournament.
He started off by saying “For the last 12 months, I’ve been whispering in his ears, but he’s blocked out everyone,” He even said that he had asked other senior players to try and change Narine’s mind. Lastly, he finished off by saying “Hopefully, before they select the team, they can crack his code.”
In reply to this Narine in simple words stated “It is what it is, but let’s see what the future holds.” His answers were somewhat optimistic where he did not deny the fact of a comeback but instead, he smartly covered it by blaming future outcomes.
