SRH vs PBKS Highlights: Sunrisers Hyderabad showed off their batting prowess once again and defeated Punjab Kings by 4 wickets on Sunday.

SRH made the 215-run target a cake walk as they chased it down in 19.1 overs to move up to second on the points table.

This win will be crucial to their chances of finishing the league stage in second place. If Rajasthan loses their final game today, then SRH will play qualifier 1 due to the benefit of being the second-best team on the points standings after the league stage.

PBKS vs SRH Highlights

The less-experienced Punjab Kings opted to bat first against the dangerous Sunrisers at their den, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.

With nothing to lose, Punjab’s young battery started the campaign on a solid note and registered 61 in the powerplay.

The duo of Prabhsimran Singh and Atharva Taide loos flawless against the might SRH and went on to add 97 for the first wicket.

Atharva Taide, who got the chance in place of Jonny Bairstow, played a solid knock of 46 off 26.

Prabhsimran Singh’s 45-ball 71 set a good platform for a big total. Punjab was looking in strong touch till Rossouw was there, but as soon as the latter walked back for 49, the Kings lost the momentum and only managed to post 214 while at one stage they were seeking 230 odd runs.

SRH, in reply, faced a shocking start as they lost their in-form batter Travis Head for duck.

But their shock did not last for long, as Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi recorded 72 for the second wicket in only 30 balls.

Abhishek Sharma was again playing in his aggressive style and was on 66 in only 28 when Punjab’s hero this season Shashank Singh provided his side with a breakthrough.

Despite losing six wickets in a big run chase, SRH batters continue to play their aggressive best cricket and chased down the target in 19.1 overs.
