Shafali Verma Shares Her Experience After T20 World Cup

Last month, the Indian women’s cricket team fell short in front of a large MCG audience. The occasion was the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final, and they were with Australia Women cricket team. Although the Indian Women cricket team lost in the final, they proved to be on the right side. Until the end, India’s Women were unbeaten throughout the tournament. They had defeated Australian Women cricket in the first match of the event.

During this tournament, if a player who shines for India, it is the young batting side opener named Shafali Verma. The Haryana player scored 163 runs from 15 innings. She is the fifth-highest run-getter in the World Cup and the highest run-scorer for the Indian team.

Shafali Verma Born in 2004 and she is just 16 years old, but undoubtedly she has the power of a world-class batsman. In every group match, she helped India get off to a good start. Interestingly, India’s average powerplay score is the highest of all teams, with her batting courtesy of order.

In a recent interview, the youngster revealed that she had received a huge welcome when she returned to her hometown, Rohtak after the T20 World Cup final. She said it was like a dream to her and she would cherish that moment forever.

“I will never forget my welcome at my home in Rohtak. There were dhols and music. My relatives embraced me with wands. I felt extraordinary.
