SA20 2025 Auction: In the current world, the cricket community is now often enthralled with one after the other tournaments, and with the rise in the T20 leagues the 2025 season is also gearing up for another entertaining season for the fans. In the latest developments, the SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith announced the details related to the 2025 SA20 season and even released the date for the auction for the third season.

SA20 2025 Auction Announced: SA20 has been one of the top T20 leagues around the world with some of the best players playing in it. The first edition of the tournament was held in 2022 where the Sunrisers Hyderabad-based franchise Eastern Cape won the inaugural title. Then they repeated the feat in the second edition and won the title for the second consecutive time.

Now the officials are all set to start the preparations for the third season which is all set to be held early in 2025. The league commissioner has even revealed the key details that as fans we would be interested to know going forward into the tournament.

All You Need to Know About SA20 2025 Auction

The third edition of the SA20 is all set to start from January 9 to February 8, 2025, where the six teams will battle it out to find out who is the winner of SA20 season 3. So far all six teams have completed their retentions and pre-signings, where now they will have 13 slots to fill in from the auction which is scheduled for October 1st in Cape Town.

Moreover, the league commissioner has also revealed that each team will now have to select three rookies and must also reveal the three wildcard options before December 30. There will be many stars that will be taking part in this highly anticipated tournament in the early next year. Players like Dinesh Karthik, Ben Stokes, Kane Williamson, Joe Root, Trent Boult, Johnny Bairstow, Devon Conway, and Rashid Khan are all set to play in this third edition of the tournament.

Even the league Commissioner Graeme Smith stated that the league has been a huge success where they have found some young talent and even entertained the fans with some crazy matches. Now with more star players interested in playing in the SA20, the commissioner is excited about the growth of the league and hopes that the auction goes well planned for the 2025 SA20 league.
