Rohit Sharma on KL Rahul Performance in Test Cricket, Excitement for the two-match test series is growing as the much anticipated red-ball series draws closer. Prior to the series, there have been a few questions on the recent performance of a few players, primarily pertaining to KL Rahul. Rahul, a fantastic red-ball player, has come under fire for his inconsistent play and injuries.

However, the Indian captain was seen supporting the star player as if he were a true leader. When asked about KL Rahul’s poor performance, Rohit responded angrily, calling him one of our best players and believing that, despite his injury problems and poor form, Rahul will soon return to form.

Beginning on September 19, the two-match test series against Bangladesh will take place, with the first test to be played in Chennai and the second in Kanpur. Prior to the major series against Australia and New Zealand later in the year, this series will serve as a useful test for the Indian cricket team. 

What Did Rohit Say About KL Rahul’s Form

Rohit Sharma, speaking about KL Rahul’s recent form, addressed the importance of considering multiple factors when selecting the playing XI. He emphasized that the team takes into account the players’ past performances over the last few series, their overall career achievements, and the experience they bring to the team. Rohit highlighted that some decisions are straightforward, particularly when evaluating a player’s contribution and skill.

Acknowledging Rahul’s recent struggles with injuries and form, Rohit offered a balanced perspective on the ups and downs of a cricketer’s career. He noted that very few cricketers enjoy a smooth journey, and most players experience both high and low phases. He praised KL Rahul for his undeniable talent and skill, especially his ability to handle both pace and spin, making him an asset in Test cricket.

Rohit reiterated that as captain, his message to Rahul had always been clear they wanted him to play all games and perform at his best. Rohit expressed hope that Rahul can pick up where he left off and continue contributing to the team.
