RCB Comeback into TATA IPL 2024

After winning the toss the away side decided to test the home side RCB with the due factor in mind and asked them to bat first. Delhi Capitals mainly lost the game due to their poor fielding which gave many chances to RCB batters. Kohli as usual started off in his style but was only able to score 27 off 13 balls.

Even though Delhi Capitals took the wickets of both RCB openers early on, they were unable to capitalize on the situation. Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar, and Cameron Green’s crucial knocks helped the RCB total to 187/9 in 20 overs.

Will Jacks scored 41 off 29 balls, While Rajat Patidar was the standout player with his impressive half-century. He smashed 52 off just 32 balls. In the end, Cameron Green finished off with his short cameo of 32 off 24 balls. For Delhi, both Rasikh Salam and Khaleel Ahmed picked up two wickets each. Whereas Kuldeep Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ishant Sharma picked up a wicket each to restrict RCB to less than 190 score.

Delhi Capitals in the Hunt Until the Very End

The Delhi Capitals now need to win their last game and pray that the remaining games for all the other clubs (RCB, CSK, SRH, and LSG) are lost. Since this is highly unlikely, they are informally eliminated from the playoff race. They were unable to rise to the occasion in a crucial game, and in the end, RCB prevailed to maintain their playoff hopes.
