Rajasthan Royals match fixing IPL 2025
Rajasthan Royals have been going through various challenges since the start of IPL 2025, from Sanju Samson the franchise captain being sidelined from the leadership role for the first three matches, to him being injured again. And with roller coaster performances which leaves them in the bottom pile of the points table, let’s take a look at why Rajasthan Royals face match-fixing allegations in IPL 2025.
Where did it all go wrong for RR?
RR and their last match against LSG at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium looked like they had total control of the innings, as Yashasvi Jaiswal was leading them with strong scores until, Avesh Khan and LSG turned the tide in the death overs, and LSG won the match with just 2 runs. The problem doesn’t stop here, RR’s IPL 2025 has been going the wrong way.
Having played 8 matches, they have won just 2 of them and lost 6 in total, which leaves them at the eight spot in the points table with just 4 points to their name. Other than the performance issues, the franchise has been allegedly reported for match-fixing, but why the match-fixing allegations for RR?

RR’s Match-Fixing Allegations
Jaideep Bihani, head of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) committee, raised concerns over the team’s suspicious match results and demanded a full investigation. He also accused the franchise and local authorities of sidelining the RCA during IPL hosting, despite RCA’s successful track record. Bihani claimed the Sports Council and Zila Parishad took control using the excuse that there was no MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the stadium.
He questioned why RCA was excluded and believes both the match results and management decisions should be properly investigated by the BCCI. Both the fans and the squad hopes RR can sail past these challenges, hoping to get back on track for the rest of their season.
