Priyansh Arya Fastest Century in Indian Premier League 2025 vs CSK Today

Priyansh Arya Fastest Century in IPL 2025: In a stunning display of power-hitting and composure, Punjab Kings’ Priyansh Arya etched his name into the record books by smashing his maiden IPL century in just 39 balls against Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh. The 24-year-old opener took the CSK bowling attack apart, lighting up the stadium and giving the fans a performance to remember.

Walking in with aggression and intent, Arya wasted no time and set the tone early, smashing boundaries and towering sixes all around the park. Despite losing wickets at the other end, he held firm and continued to pile on the runs at a staggering strike rate of 245.24, before finally falling for 103 off 42 balls, which included 7 fours and 9 sixes.

With this knock, Arya has now joined an elite group of IPL legends for one of the fastest centuries in IPL history. He now stands alongside legends like Chris Gayle (30 balls), Yusuf Pathan (37), David Miller (38), and Travis Head (39). Arya’s fiery knock at New Chandigarh made him only the fifth player to reach a hundred in under 40 balls.

This incredible knock not only powered Punjab Kings to a competitive total of 154 in just 13.4 overs when he got out but also cemented Arya’s place as one of the most exciting young talents in the league.

Though the match was in CSK’s favour after they took Punjab’s five wicket early, Arya’s fireworks ensured that fans didn’t miss out on entertainment.

Interestingly, Priyansh Arya started his innings today by smashing a six off the very first ball of the match, joining a rare group of IPL batters to do so. The elite list includes Naman Ojha (2009 vs KKR), Virat Kohli (2019 vs RR), Phil Salt (2024 vs MI), and now Arya in 2025 at Mullanpur.

His fearless intent set the tone for a remarkable innings that eventually led to a rapid century. With that audacious start, Arya further established himself as one of IPL’s most exciting young talents.
