Pakistan U19 Asia Cup 2025 Squad Revealed by PCB
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially unveiled the 15-member squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to be played in Dubai from December 12 to December 21. Farhan Yousaf Named Captain for Asia Cup Campaign
Farhan Yousaf, who featured in last year’s edition as well, will captain the team in the 2025 tournament. The 18-year-old has been in remarkable form, recently leading Lahore Region Whites in the National Men’s U19 Cup, where he amassed 369 runs in seven matches, including a century and two fifties. His consistency and leadership qualities made him the natural choice for the captaincy.
Usman Khan Appointed Vice-Captain After Dominant Performances
Usman Khan, remembered for his century in the previous U19 Asia Cup, steps in as vice-captain. Representing FATA in the National Men’s U19 Cup, he scored 429 runs in seven games, registering two centuries and a half-century. Together, Farhan and Usman provide Pakistan with a solid batting core heading into the tournament.
Wicketkeeping duties will be handled by Hamza Zahoor, while backup keeper Mohammad Shayan is also part of the squad.
Training Camp and Tournament Preparation
Before departing for Dubai, the squad will assemble for a preparatory training camp in Karachi. The PCB is expected to confirm the team’s travel schedule soon.
This year’s 50-over U19 Asia Cup features eight teams, with Pakistan placed in Group A alongside India, Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 3. Pakistan reached the semi-finals last year but were eliminated by Bangladesh, and the team aims to go further this time.
Pakistan’s Group Stage Fixtures
Pakistan will begin their campaign on Friday, December 12, against Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium. Their highly anticipated clash with India will take place on Sunday, December 14, at the ICC Academy Ground. The final group match is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, against Qualifier 1.
