South Africa women secured a comfortable victory against Pakistan women in the third and final T20I on Friday at Multan Cricket Stadium. Let’s look at PAK-W vs SA-W 3rd T20I Highlights.

After losing the second T20I a couple of days back, the visitors made a strong comeback and not only claimed the victory in the third one, but also won the series 2-1.

Invited to bat, Pakistan made the most of the powerplay and posted 49 in the first six without losing the wicket.  

The hosts were going strong, but the sudden two wickets in the next seventeen deliveries brought South Africa back in the game.

Nida Dar and Sidra Amin did a solid 33-run partnership in 20 balls for third wicket before Nida Dar walked back to pavilion when Pakistan women were at 92.  

Skipper Fatima Sana then took the charge and scored a fast 17-ball 27, while Aliya Riaz (8) and Tuba Hassan’s decent (5) approach during the death overs take Pakistan’s total to 153 after 20 overs.  

South Africa need 154 to win in 20 overs 

The visitors faced a shocking start to their chasing campaign, as they lost their first wicket in the first over itself. 

Skipper Laura Wolvaardt and Aneeke Bosch rescued the side as they both added 81 runs for the second wicket before Bosch (46 off 37) left the crease as retired hurt.  

Wolvaardt also lost her wicket when she was at 45 and the left the work in between. But thanks to Annerie Dercksen (44* off 23) and Sune Luss (14* off 13) quick knocks that guided South Africa women to victory with nine balls left to spare.  

Pakistan’s skipper Fatima Sana scored the most runs for her side in the series. While Sadia Iqbal with six wickets in three matches ended the series as highest wicket-taker.
