Pakistan maintained a 53-run lead over England at stumps on day 2 of the third test after scoring 344 in their first innings at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday. Let’s know about PAK vs ENG 3rd Test Match update.

Saud Shakeel, who recently became the joint fastest Pakistani batter to complete 1000 test runs, showed his skills when it mattered the most again as his century knock rescued the hosts.  

There was still plenty of overs left in the day’s play when Pakistan’s first innings ended, and it also benefitted the hosts only. England batted for nine overs before bad lights forced stumps on day 2.

Sajid Khan took the wicket of Ben Duckett, while Noman Ali dismissed Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope as England ended the day at 24 for 3.  

Reliable Joe Root at five and Harry Brook at 3* will start for English team on day three.  

Early in the match, the spin duo of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, who scripted a historic comeback win for Pakistan in the test series and handed the hosts a win in the second game to level the series 1-1, starred with the ball once again in the first innings of the third and final test.  

Both Sajid and Noman shared nine wickets in the first innings, while Zahid Mahmood took one to restrict England to 267.  

Pakistan faced a shaky start and lost three for 46 in their first innings and were at 177 for 7 at one stage before Saud Shakeel step in to take the responsibility to take the team forward.  

Noman Ali provided full support to Shakeel and added 88 for the eighth wicket. Noman scored 45. While Sajid Ali also played a handy knock of unbeaten when Saud Shakeel left the crease after hitting 134 as Pakistan posted 344 in their first innings.
