10,500-Seater Cricket Stadium Proposed Near Atlanta: A New Era for US Cricket

New Cricket stadium near Atlanta 10,500-Seater

Cricket continues to make its mark in the United States, with a new 10,500-seater stadium proposed near Atlanta, Georgia. The project, led by Keval Patel, CEO and President of LaGrange Cricket Holdings, aims to push the sport further into mainstream American consciousness by providing world-class infrastructure in the heart of Georgia.

A Major Boost for US Cricket Infrastructure

Following the success of Major League Cricket (MLC) near Dallas and the Coliseum in California, this proposed venue in LaGrange represents another leap in cricket’s American expansion. Located just 50 minutes south of Atlanta, the stadium will become a central hub for both international matches and domestic cricket leagues.

Stadium Details and Vision

Spread over 45 acres along the I-85 corridor, the project will feature 10,500 permanent seats, expandable to 25,000 for larger tournaments. Inspired by England’s Rose Bowl in Southampton, it will include two grandstands, luxury hotels, restaurants, and hospitality spaces—creating an all-in-one sports and entertainment experience.

Architectural design will be handled by TVS Design, the same firm behind the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and Jio World Centre in Mumbai. The cricket facility alone carries a $50 million investment, with the total project exceeding $100 million, integrating sports, leisure, and business opportunities.

A Dream Turned Reality for Keval Patel

For Patel, a long-time cricket benefactor and New Jersey resident, the project is deeply personal. After previous failed attempts to build a stadium in New Jersey, he views this as a moment of redemption and a symbol of cricket’s future in America. His company has already invested a seven-figure sum in permits, architectural designs, and legal clearances before securing approval.

“This isn’t just about cricket,” said Patel. “We’re creating an ecosystem—a world-class stadium, boutique hotel, sports bar, and retail space that will unite communities and bring thousands together.”

Expected Completion and Future Prospects

Part of the larger ‘Sola’ development project in LaGrange, the stadium is expected to be completed by early 2027. Once operational, it will be equipped with broadcast-ready facilities to host international matches, MLC events, and major concerts.

With this landmark project, cricket takes another giant step toward becoming a mainstream sport in the United States, providing fans and players with a world-class venue to celebrate the game.
