New Bowling Coach of Team India: In a recent turn of events, reports are coming out saying Morne Morkel has been appointed India’s bowling coach. Even though there has been no official confirmation from the BCCI, but many news outlets and sources revel that Morne Morkel is all set to join the coach staff of Gautham Gambhir as new bowling coach of the senior Indian cricket team.

In a new era for the Indian cricket team, the appointment of the classic players as coaches has turned out to be the new trend in the world of cricket. We have seen multiple nations opting for ex-players to coach the current generation of players.

Morne Morkel is all set to take charge as the new bowling coach of team India from September 1st, as from Sep 19th the two-match test series against Bangladesh will start the new chapter of Morkel’s coaching career.

Who is Morne Morkel?

During his playing career, the South African pace sensation, who is well-known for his quick bowling, had a significant influence on South Africa’s cricket. In 2018, he announced his retirement from competitive play. Now that Gautham Gambhir has been given a significant position as the new head coach of team India, Morkel, who coached the Pakistan squad in the past, is ready to work with him as the new bowling coach of team India.

The South African phenomenon has led South Africa to numerous wins over the years by casting some corresponding spells. Given that the BCCI had appointed him solely on the basis of the new Head Coach’s recommendation, he decided to pursue coaching as his next career move after retiring from cricket.

After India’s T20 World Cup victory, the former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid announced his retirement as his tenure as head coach ended. Now with new changes in the team, the BCCI decided to appoint former Indian World Cup winner Gautham Gambhir as the new Head Coach of Team Indian in all three formats.
