Moeen Ali To Announce Retirement From Test Cricket

According to reports, England batsman Moeen Ali has chosen to retire from Test cricket before the eagerly awaited Ashes series between Australia and England at the conclusion of the year.

The England player made this decision mostly related to the longer period he would be away from family this year, with the T20 World Cup and The Ashes on the line.

Ali has also notified England Head Coach Chris Silverwood and Test captain Joe Root of his intention to retire from the game’s longest format. The 34-year-old made this move in order to extend his limited-overs playing.
