Hobart Hurricanes thrashed Adelaide Strikers by 7-wickets. Hurricanes seemed to be on a rampage in their run chase against the Strikers. Their opening batsman, Matthew Wade, couldn’t help the team much, scoring 6 from 7 balls was being caught by George Garton. Ben McDermott and D Arcy Short were on a promising note to chase the goal after forging a key partnership for the 2nd wicket, however, D Arcy Short was caught by Siddle after scoring 37 off 32 balls. Rashid Khan then walked in to attack and picked Harry Brook, who made only 6 out of 8 deliveries.
Moreover, the fight was well-balanced until the 16th over, as Hurricanes’ Ben McDermott was the man found to be destructive with extremely consistent shape with 110* off 60, assisted Hurricanes to win the match on a high note in just 18.3 overs.
