Rohit Sharma who has been used as impact player for the past two or three games yet again comes out to open but think time along with Dewald Brevis. Rohit this time pressed the accelerator as he smashed two sixes and one four in 13 balls but as he was going the rain played the spoilsport as the match was interrupted due to rain.

However the match continued without any overs being cut short, it the Hitman you continued where he left off before the rain. He and Brevis together scored 88 for the opening partnership before Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 68 runs by Ravi Bishnoi. It was his aggressive start that gave Mumbai the much-needed aggressive start.

After the fall of Rohit Sharma, the wickets kept tumbling and it was surely the end of the Mumbai Indians campaign in a bad fashion. Even though Naman Dhir and Ishan Kishan in the end fought hard they were unable to pull Mumbai Indians towards victory.
