Lifting The T20 WC 2021 Would Be Extremely Special: Rabada

South Africa was formerly considered one of the favorites to win any ICC event. The squad has lost numerous players and superstars as a result of the change. In theory, this South African team does not appear to be threatening, and it also does not suffer the scars of prior tournaments. Kagiso Rabada, one of the player’s most potential players, was a relatively inexperienced player the previous time in the 2016 T20 World Cup. Here is all about what Rabada Speaks On Lifting The T20 WC 2021.

Following 5 years, Rabada has established himself as one of the finest pacers of his era. The right-arm pacer will head an assault that includes Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Keshav Maharaj. South Africa is not the favourite this year, and Rabada believes it will serve to their strength.

“Hundred percent – It would be my biggest life achievement in sports, that’s what it would be. That would also be one of the highest achievements in cricket, that’s what is missing. It would be the icing on the cake. We hope we are the generation that can bring it [the trophy home]”, said Rabada.

The speedster also stated that lifting the T20 World Cup would be a life-changing experience for him. “That would be very special”.

South Africa’s history in 6 T20 World Cups is extremely terrible, with the side reaching the semi-finals only twice, in 2009 and 2014. Kagiso Rabada is familiar of the team’s previous performances, but he is not aiming at such records or stats.

“I don’t even actually like to talk about that [baggage] and what’s happened in the past, happened in the past,” he said. “I don’t want to talk about it too much, we have a challenge in front of us. No one in the past tried to lose games. We are coming in with the same mentality, whether we have baggage or not. I just think it’s not worth talking about, it’s just worth playing,” he added.

South Africa is in Group A and therefore will start their campaign versus Australia on Saturday (23 October).
