Javed Miandad Asks People To Contribute Funds To Pay Off Debts

In recent years, Pakistan has suffered financial troubles. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic plunged the nation into more misery. Similar to India, Pakistan is also a big fan of cricket, and in the wake of the pandemic, several Pakistani cricketers came up. So far in Pakistan, more than 32,000 people have been tested positive, and more than 700 have died from the coronavirus pandemic.

In these hard times, a new initiative was launched by former Pakistani Captain Javed Miandad, who is one of Pakistan’s most famous cricketer. The veteran has requested all Pakistani citizens to pay money into a bank account that he has created to help Pakistan pay the debt to the IMF.

Miandad urged everyone to donate in his bank account in a video posted on his official Twitter page. It will be of immense support even though people will contribute from $1 and $100 per month, according to former international Pakistan. Because of Pakistan’s huge debt already, Miandad called for unity. If Pakistan asks the IMF for more funds, Pakistan can have to give away its atomic bomb (nuclear power).

“In Pakistan National Bank, I have an account opened. It will be an international account. The account is in my name and I’m not supposed to contact someone else. My main purpose is to spend the money on our IMF debt. Again I call on all Pakistanis around the world because I can see the future of Pakistan will be going through a very difficult phase. I don’t want a one-time amount,” said Miandad.

“It will help if people could contribute $1 to $100 each month. All of us now must unite. We’ve got one big thing that’s the nuclear bomb. I think that if we now contact with IMF for more money,  only after getting our nuclear status back to us, they will accept our request. Now no one is ready to give money to Pakistan “he added.

Miandad also slammed down those corrupt people who had looted Pakistan ‘s wealth, asking everybody to contribute. He also called on Pakistanis from abroad to help and donate to the improvement of the nation.

“A lot of people were eating a lot of money. You need to get rid of it now. I ‘d even call upon them to be included in my strategy. I ask all of you to donate the money now, to all the people who looted Pakistan. I beg Pakistanis who live abroad, who have relatives living in Pakistan who love me and the country, to contribute to all Pakistani citizens living all around the world. For my own men, I’m not submissive. Find it to be a charitable organization, “he said.
