PSL 2022 – Why James Faulkner Left PSL 2022 In Between?

Australian player James Faulkner has suddenly left Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 on 19th Feb 2022. He has given a reason stating that he has few payment disputes and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied it. Here in this article, it’s clear Why James Faulkner Left PSL 2022 In Between.

He has not played the last 3 games for the Quetta Gladiators team and announced his withdrawal from the tournament through Twitter.

He has stated – I apologise to the Pakistan cricket fans. But unfortunately I’ve had to withdraw from the last 2 matches and leave the @thePSLt20 due to the @TheRealPCB  not honouring my contractual agreement/payments. I’ve been here the whole duration and they have continued to lie to me.

He also added – It hurts to leave as I wanted to help to get international cricket back in Pakistan as there is so much young talent and the fans are amazing. But the treatment I have received has been a disgrace from the @TheRealPCB and @thePSLt20 I’m sure you all understand my position.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has not immediately responded to this issue but later denied the allegation made by the foreign player.

And they have officially released a press note stating – “The PCB and Quetta Gladiators have regretfully taken note of Mr. James Faulkner`s false and misleading accusations and will shortly be releasing a detailed statement on the matter,”

He has got a huge response from the Indian fans and shown him full support through Twitter and has roasted the PCB and PSL for not treating players properly.

According to a few reports – There are many such kinds of incidents that are happening internally for the players, especially to the young Pakistan players but there are no official confirmations from players or the Board.

Here are some a few Twitter reactions:
