Yashasvi Jaiswal to represent Goa in Domestic for 2025-26 Edition Leaves Mumbai
Yashasvi Jaiswal quits Mumbai and will represent Goa in the 2025-26 domestic season. As per various sources, the power-hitting batter was approached by the Goa Cricket Association (GCA). Yashasvi Jaiswal And His First-Class Journey
Born on 28 December 2001, Jaiswal is a native of Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. Jaiswal representing Mumbai, debuted in the Ranji Trophy in 2018-19. Yashasvi represented Mumbai in 36 first-class matches. The batter has scored 3712 runs with an average of 60.85. Moreover, Jaiswal has scored three back-to-back centuries for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy 2021-22 edition.

Ranking fourth in the ICC Test batting rankings, Jaiswal began his international Test career against West Indies in July 2023. Jaiswal scored a century (171) in his debut. Moreover, Yashasvi scored a double-hundred (209) against England at home. Jaiswal’s last outing for India in Tests was in the BGT series in Australia. Jaiswal scored the highest runs (391) for India in the series.
Jaiswal’s Shift From Mumbai To Goa
Goa Cricket Association (GCA) secretary Shambhu Desai said Jaiswal is the right fit for the squad. Moreover, on Tuesday, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) confirmed Yashasvi’s exit from Mumbai. The cricketer had sent a mail requesting a No Objection Certificate (NOC), citing personal reasons.
In his last match representing Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, Jaiswal scored a four and a 26. In the ongoing season of the IPL 2025, Jaiswal has scored merely 34 runs in three matches for the RR. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal, known for his power-hitting abilities, will hopefully make his comeback in the next matches against PBKS, GT, RCB, and the remaining games of the IPL for the franchise.
