The business value of the IPL, which stands at ₹1,34,858 crore, reflects the cash flows generated by the league as a standalone entity.

Within this substantial business value, the brand value, which is a subset, is pegged at ₹28,180 crore. This report signifies the rise of IPL on a global scale.

CSK Leads the Pack: IPL Teams Brand Valuation

Among the IPL teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) emerges as the most valuable, boasting a brand valuation of ₹1,930 crore. CSK’s consistent performance on the field, coupled with a robust fan base, has significantly contributed to its top position. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) follows closely with a brand valuation of ₹1,896 crore, driven by its star-studded lineup and strong brand presence.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), another major player in the league, holds the third spot with a valuation of ₹1,805 crore. The team’s association with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has undoubtedly added to its brand allure. Mumbai Indians (MI), despite their on-field successes and being the most successful team in IPL history, stand fourth with a brand value of ₹1,704 crore.

Mid and Lower-Tier Valuations of IPL Teams

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have brand valuations of ₹1,111 crore and ₹1,103 crore, respectively. These teams, while not as financially dominant as the top four, still command significant brand value due to their unique identities and loyal fan bases.

Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) follow with valuations of ₹1,094 crore and ₹1,036 crore, respectively. Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) round out the list with brand values of ₹844 crore and ₹760 crore. Although these teams have lower valuations, they contribute to the overall diversity and competitive spirit of the league.
